Well, I'd like to add a short story to this collection of novels, if you will.
Let me start by saying that, really, in all essence, the speed at which you write music can or can not matter. In my case, I tend to work as fast as I can, because if I work incredibly slowly, I lose track of the songs direction, and it just ends up awful. However, working too fast can have the same effect. You have to work at that speed in the middle, somewhere between the two extremes. Everyone's speed is different.
Part of getting there involves mastering the program's controls. Just like a vehicle; Say I have a car that turns really fast, but I'm really awful at driving. The only way to fully utilize my car is to master it's controls, otherwise that sharp turning capability is utterly useless. Utilizing the tracker's keyboard shortcuts can be useful, and really is the easiest way to speed up your workflow.
Another thing to consider is obviously the music part of composing. This is one place where you absolutely don't want to rush. To quote Shigeru Miyamoto,

Of course, here on the forums, you could just say "Hey, I made an edit!" and be done, but still, don't rush, otherwise people will simply think your work is bad.
Just find that medium between too fast and too slow and do your best.
Thom: I take offence from the tone of your message.
MKSTAR26: That was not necessary at all. I'm sure Thom is perfectly capable of copying my post and pasting it into notepad and separating each sentence into its own paragraph if he thinks that makes it more legible.
