Didn't see anyone talk about this song, so I went ahead and did my best on it. A few sounds were really hard to reproduce, but I did my best.

Dr.Mustache, This time I kept your 'Fezuke's instruments are too loud' comment on labyrinth in mind this time. I think I did a better job on the volumes.

And you did well. :) I can hear everything without any problem, so it's safe to say you did a good job with the volume. Nice cover by the way.

I made some small changes to Starlight. I think I'll include a new build to spare you the work of adding the changes yourself, but first, I'll finish Special Stage.

Also, "Instrument 0D - #12: Tromboner". Hahahahah.

These sound really good, but something I don't get, is why I'm credited for one of those Emerald Hill zone covers. All I did was the bassline, and some of the lead, and even that was changed by someone. So no-no, I had nothing to do with that cover, please remove my name from that. The last thing I want to be accused of is plagiarism I didn't even commit.

P.S.: It might look like that I'm always the one whining about stupid shit, so sorry but I guess that's how I am sometimes.

I don't think it's stupid. I knew that you posted that FTM just so someone could use it as a blueprint to build on. Guess they just decided to add it to the mix. I don't think it will be a problem though, Poodlecock will do the right thing.

I looked back, and it looks like Rushjet1 actually finished that cover. My bad. But you did start that though so it's not really plagiarism =)

It's all right. Everyone bitches at some point.

Hey there. I decided to drop Special Stage, so anyone can take it. I think I'll go for Casino Night this time.

I've attached three frames of unoptimized stuff which is free for anyone to use. I don't want credit for this.

I was going to balance stuff on the song before continuing on it, but I decided to drop it because I thought that the final result would've been mediocre. But hey, I might do better on other song!

Mostly volume fixes and moving stuff into different channels. The comments now tell you what two channels to set to stereo (one left/one right). Example:

+ Emerald Hill (4/5)
Set channel 4 to left and channel 5 to right.

Aquatic Ruin uses stereo indeed. During frames 00-06, FM channel 6 should be at the right and on frames 07-0A, channel 5 should be at the right. The echo part should be always set to left.

Inaccuracy time! I just noticed I forgot an extra note in Aquatic Ruin. I'll add it with the Starlight modifications soon.

I left the stereo settings there for anyone playing the songs back in an NSF player. Changing the panning settings while listening would be very, very inconvenient, LOL.

Covered Spring Yard and added Sonic 1 medley and All Clear. Anyone else feel that Spring Yard is a bit off or is it just me? Now all we need is Green Hill Zone and we're done with the Sonic 1 soundtrack (I think)

Mostly volume and instrument fixes, notably to Spring Yard and Scrap Brain.

Also, untilted samples have been added. Use octave 2 for untilted samples and octave 3 for tilted samples.

Still loving these :D I hope one day we can listen to these on a real famicom, but until then, a slight suggestion for the Marble zone covers...from what I can tell the lead patch has a slowly fading modulation, kind of like the one for Scrap Brain. In case anyone wants to make their cover super-accurate.

Do you mean that the lead gets a stronger modulation as it fades out? Yes, I wanted to replicate that but I used a custom patch for the accompaniment channels.

Still, I don't know of a way to replicate that using the VRC7 patch settings.

I looked at the Marble zone lead, and it's... interesting. Operator 1 isn't very important (I think this is what you mean by the slowly fading modulation, but unlike Scrap Brain MZ doesn't sustain for long times at once), but operator 2 links to operator 3 and that links to operator 4. Turn off operator 2 and it sounds almost like VRC7 patch 9. But since operator 2 links to operator 3, not operator 4 and they all use different multipliers, this isn't gonna be easy to make in VRC7.
