OK, I've recorded Time Ticking Backwards and Special Air Delivrc7 on my Famicom.

Turns out using E and F in Delivrc7 doesn't cause distortion, but it did cause the bass to become way too loud. In my recording I changed those values to D and E instead and it sounds much more balanced (in my opinion).
