NSFPlay is pretty much the standard, at least within this community, due to the fact it's still being maintained, and aims to be as accurate as possible (for instance, it's the only player which replicates the proper N163 volume balance depending on the amount of active channels).

Here's the problem: nsf play doesn't support batch conversion to wav, which foobar has.

Yes it does. This feature was implemented in the 2.1 build.
Changelog wrote:
Command line WAV output for batch processing.

You can also use the winamp plugin for NSFPlay with the disk writer output.

yeah, but I had a problem once, where after installing the plugin the nsf control panel blocked access to the main window. also winamp is dead.

i've had good success with winamp + notsofatso for input and disk writer for output.

They were suggesting an alternative. You're coming off as a bit brusque here.

Toffee fudge, strawberries and cream, perhaps Jaffa Cake if I'm feeling adventurous. The ice cream shops in town are amazing

I've bought Jaffa Cakes and vanilla ice-cream separately and eating both at the same time is so good! However, I've never heard of a Jaffa Cake flavored ice-cream, UK must be an awesome place if you have that!
It actually sounds like something that Ben & Jerry's would do.
