Well it's really just an update on the already existing model. Maybe this has extra features the other one doesn't? I know the old one didn't allow certain combinations (such as VRC6 + VRC7).
That's great news then! Maybe I should save up for one of those. Of course, if you guys want to donate some money that will go towards making hardware renders for the whole community, that could work too. :p
Is it standard to come with 2413? Because those default patches, though close, really make any VRC7 tune sound a bit off. Also that YMZ294 (according to English documentation) emulates the AY instead of YM2149F. So hello to fucked noise frequency and hardware envelope
My fake 5B cart uses a YMZ284, and it sounds fine. The YMZ294 is mostly the same, except you can decide whether you want it to divide the clock frequency or not (the YMZ284 divides the clock internally, with no option not to let it do so).
Also, it's not emulation - the YMZ2x4 really is a subset of the YM2149F.
I think this is great too, love how the melody really gives a sad feeling (sounds weird but as you said it voices your feelings pretty well) Just hope you get better soon, I don't want to see you are not feeling good.
A small detail, there's a wave conflict in frame 04 which can be noticed when the song loops. It can be solved by just changing the wave position of either the N106 Organ or the N163 Bassoon instruments.
I would like to see a part 3 very much. While the first one is my favorite between the two parts, this one works pretty well as a continuation to the first part.
