No it doesn't. The PCM is playing through the pulse channels. It's very fast volume changes at work, and it's also used in other 8-bit systems without PCM, like Game Boy.

WIP for Lepage's friendly competition. 3/4 time kind of feels wonky, but it's this or a slower 4/4.
Those of you who know their stuff can guess what inspired me to make this.
So i saw Godzilla. Played the nes game in preparation, hadn't check it out since i was a little kid renting games at a video store. First bossfight has this song. Love the echo squares.
I adjusted it a bit. The noise instruments are fancier, and i dropped the triangle channel down an octave, but it should be pretty close beyond that. Oh, and i faded out the last note in pulse2, because the cut was weirdly abrupt.
