Ummmm... Do I need to rename my file to a certain format before submitting? Also, are module comments accepted as long as they don't blow your cover(no, I don't mean covers as the ones we are doing)?
No need to name your file anything in particular; just know that in the final pack (and indeed the demos folder if you make it there), your original filename will be used.
Put me down, I definitely want to try and finish up something for this. Spring break is in 2 weeks for me so I don't even think I have a real excuse not to!
I will enter under the assumption that what I cover doesn't have to be a popular video game or popular in-real-life song.
EDIT: Here is my question. How faithful do I have to be to the source material? Can I take it on a u-turn and go somewhere different as long as it's obvious it IS inspired by the song?

I usually tell people that for covers, the "Music" score rates, amongst other things, how faithful to the original the cover is. Take from that what you will; in my view, the rules say "remixes and arrangements are also accepted" so as long as the musical contents of your FTM comes from an external piece of music, it's fine by me. *I* won't be voting though...
EDIT: 20 registered contestants, with more to come still! This is going well. :)
