Uh, here's a rather big bug; the 4xy command effect is broken when exporting to NSF.

Yeah there's a pretty critical export bug going on here. Jump to about 0:45.

4xy is not the issue here. The following modules and NSFs were created and exported with FT 0.4.0 and the issue is not recreated. My guess is that it has something to do with FTMs made in earlier versions of FT, possibly with expansions and -something- to do with 4xy.

As discussed in #famitracker though, it's a mystery and some people seem to be able to trigger the bug while others can't with a variety of different FTMs.

lol u

I've had some pretty weird shit happen with my VRC6 cart, actually. Like some Akumajou Densetsu tunes playing in a major key for instance. That was.. odd.

EDIT: This is probably the weirdest thing I've witnessed with my Lagrange Point cartridge. The game was seemingly tired of playing the same tracks over and over, and decided to compose its own.

That's kinda creepy... especially since it's quite a good song, too.

EDIT: but not as wierd as when my PowerPak fucked up and SOMEHOW loaded Super Bat Puncher with sprites from Gimmick!. Namely Yumetaro (the character) and the first secret item... It's funny because I actually played it for a bit (the boxing glove still worked) before the NES realized what had happened and reset itself.

The DPCM editor seems to delete offsets incorrectly. If I play the sample from the middle for instance, let's say a voice saying "Hi there!" then delete stuff from the beginning after it ends up sounding like "Hi thethe"

I seem to be having a problem importing .ftm files into projects via the module properties window. Am I doing something wrong? I even tried this on a blank file and made a simple other file to import into it.

Damn, you're right. Crap, all of these functions seem to not work at the worst time. When importing, all of the patterns are "0".

I couldn't even successfully import anything. Pre-0.4.0 modules refuse to load (but the program remains stable), while modules created with 0.4.0 crash the program. Here's a minidump.

It seems the bassline was offset with respect to time: you can hear the "intro" in the bassline at about 0:28. What caused it: unknown.

This was recorded directly from the cartridge btw; before I ever got my HFC3. I think I knocked the cart slightly and it caused this weird timing error to happen. I haven't been able to reproduce it since, but when it happened, it would've gone on like this forever if I hadn't switched to a different track.

Ok I've confirmed the vibrato bug, which is rather strange since it works fine on my local build. Something was messed up when building the 0.4.0 release. This is a rather large problem so I'll probably have to follow up with a 0.4.1 release soon.

FTM import has some known issues, for example trying to import files with another expansion chip gives an improper message of the file being damaged and might cause a crash.
