I know this is SuperNSF, but I'd really love to hear if this actually works on hardware, this is one of my favorites of the few SuperNSFs I have...

Yes, I would love to hear this. (But it sounded better as a .MOD file)

bananasp.nsf is too large for either the Power Pak or the TNS-HFC3 to handle. Sorry.

I'll record the other two and post them soon.

Hey jrlepage, how did you end up repairing your TNS?

I wanted to ask last year but it was busted then, at your convenience would it be lame if I requested a recording of Don't Tarry? I have one good hardware recording but know the result can differ so a second opinion would be nice.

(this is totally for planning structure for this year's compo entry.)

Heh, it's rather funny I happen to look here and I see that... I repaired it. Hopefully only the 4053 (analog mux) was busted, replacing the part fixed the problem. Probably we toasted the chip when goofing around with the fake Sunsoft-5B cart, some nasty electrical shorts happens quite fast when it's 3 AM or so.

Yes, I'm fairly sure I credited you for fixing my HFC3 and building that special cart somewhere in the thread! Thank you so much once again for investing so many hours of your own time on this project, I really appreciate it.

Sorry for not obliging any sooner with the requests. Tomorrow is my day off so I'll be sure to take the time to record those NSFs!

I've blown multiple 40H368s dicking around in my NES.

That seems like a pretty worthwhile trip to the electronics hospital.

Really no rush on the recording! Do it whenever.

I would say I hate you, but that would be a lie...

And lying would be wrong.

Why would you say that to begin with?

What's that buzzing in your recording of "Small World"? Is it something to do with the custom audio circuit?

Yeah, the output level of the YMZ284 is really quiet, so the buzzing of the Famicom, which is normally next to inaudible with other carts, is much louder, because you have to turn the volume way up.

I don't think this would be a problem with a real Gimmick! cartridge.

For louder NSFs this shouldn't be a problem either. Most tracks from the Gimmick! NSF sound okay.

Oh man lmao that file had some fun there sorry!! That's why I love second opinions =D

(in it's own right it may've been an awesome sound as well.)

(curious if it was that silly optimizer program that caused that. Was the nsf compiled off of mmlshare (http://www.mmlshare.com/tracks/view/376) or from the fcm9 pack because I ran that tool on the submission, suspecting that may have caused it.)

(also thank you too!!)

I'm actually surprised at how the recording of my song turned out; it almost sounds the same as it would on FamiTracker.

Thanks a lot, jrlepage.
