There are lots of quirks about the VRC7's upper range, specifically the aliasing that occurs at those frequencies, that aren't correctly emulated by any player or emulator that I've encountered so far. Track 7 or the Lagrange Point rip demonstrates that very well: listen to rainwarrior's recording vs. NSF players. Virtually every emulator makes the high-pitched chime at the beginning sound different, and none of them gets it exactly right.

Your hi-hat is just another example of this.

I'd like to listen to my Famicompo mini 9 entry, on a real N163 if it's not a problem
MediEvil - The Crystal Caves (8 Channels)
And it doesn't loop.
Thank you

The recording is done, but I still need to upload it from a public network. This restriction will only last until this upcoming Friday, though; from that day on I'll have full internet access again.

Yeah, superNSFs don't go well with the HFC3. :\

Hmm, pretty weird...did the nsf file glitch up or something? I could hear cracks in the recording, and something like a pulse wave at one point that shouldn't have been there.

That's how it plays. I recorded about 5 takes and they all sounded like that. Might be worth filing a bug report...

Hey Jrlepage, I found this site where you can buy Famicom games and accessories really cheap (relative to ebay). I purchased a couple of FC games from there and I can vouch for their excellent service (they didn't rip me off, the shipping was really quick, etc.) and I was thinking about purchasing an FDS from there. Seeing as you don't own an FDS, I thought I'd let you know about this... you know musician to fellow musicians.

Fair warning, the full price for a naked FDS and RAM adapter is about 95-102 bucks (since Canadian and US exchange rates are spot on right now), but that's still a shitload better than a 70 dollar FDS and 25 dollar Ram adapter from ebay with 40 dollar combined shipping for both.

Sorry I sound so much like a spammer, but really, how many "Family Entertainment System" sites have spambots...?
...

>-< I'm sorry.

That's pretty cool actually, thanks for letting me know. I can't afford a FDS right now, but when I do I might get one from them. That being said, I'm not certain the HFC3 is compatible with the FDS without some sort of adapter - that's something I've been meaning to ask Robokabuto (or someone equally knowledgeable) about.

Actually, judging by the physical dimentions & form factor of the Disk System's drive controller cartridge, you WILL need some kind of an extender. Or, you can use a 60-to-72 pin adapter & hook it up to a 72-to-60 pin adapter to add more height to your HFC3.

As for requests, can you please record this on your hardware:

Could you please record this if and when you have the time? Total play-time is ~3:56.

I know this is SuperNSF, but I'd really love to hear if this actually works on hardware, this is one of my favorites of the few SuperNSFs I have...
