Speaking of the stream, when is it happening? Has it been organised yet?
I missed the last one so I want to be sure to catch it this time.

I'm thinking of extending the deadline to April 22nd, considering so many people have time constraints that would stop them submitting. I realise 2 weeks to come up with a full fledged song probably isn't enough either. What do we think
As for the stream, I haven't really discussed it with Dan yet but it shouldn't be a problem I think. I'll make an update when we've settled on a date.

DID SOMEONE SAY FLEDGED

Anyway, I feel kind of bad that I made that within the deadline for this demo compo, because I am totally capable of making something for this but I have a tough time with classical for some reason. I'll definitely get something in though.

Yeah, though the community I'm associated with knows they're joking as well, that explains the upvotes, LOL.

I could finish mine up in time if I really wanted to(and will), but an extra week would be nice.

Yeah but your entry would've been DQ'd anyway as it was a cover of an existing NES tune!

so if the deadline is being extended does that mean the next contest will be delayed or will stay in date? (just curious lol)

I think I'll make all contests last one month from now on (that is, 3 weeks to submit, 1 week to vote).

I personally am in favour of the time period given as it is now (probably because I've already submitted my entry and had nothing to worry about), but I do see how it could be beneficial towards the creation of more quality entries for future competitions.

Though it does seem kind of unfair for those who have already submitted their entries expecting to meet a certain deadline when they could have held it off a bit longer and possibly made more improvements after having knowledge that the time given was extended.

Then again, shit happens, people unexpectedly lose access to their entries, go on vacation, have too much school/job work, so in that case if you want to extend the deadline by all means go for it

I agree with the one month thing. Three weeks to enter, one week to vote.
