Tried the stream today, but my wireless connection is shit compared to my buddy's dsl. I woke up and logged in literally a minute before my song started, hahaha
All due respect to the hosts, they did a great job with running the streams and it was cool to hear their sober commentary on the songs, but I regret hanging in both of the streams otherwise. In the #mod_shrine listening parties it was fun discussing the songs with everyone (always is), but it was basically impossible to do that in the chat with these ones, the majority of the chat participants were abusive trolls and children (I don't know where those people came from or who invited them), and the ones that weren't couldn't get a word in edgeways.
Yeah... That is how it always is on Justin.tv sadly. I guess it would have been a better idea to host something like this on Ustream, since trolls are fairly scarce there. Otherwise, Justin/Twitch is useful for Video game streaming, just expect the chat to be unreasonable at times.
Also the chat UI for justin.tv sucks, since it's so tiny; you can't read back very far at all, which makes the noisy/troll posts worse.
The #mod_shrine listen had the irc channel visible in the video stream; I thought that worked pretty well (plus people watching later could see comments that way). Maybe we could do it in #famitracker next time?
