I tried the new tempo/highlight thing, and I think it'd work best if the forumula used 2nd highlight instead of the first one, otherwise, if you want proper tempo display, you end up with all highlighted rows looking the same (as opposed to the half-beat rows looking dimmer than the beat rows). Either that, or the row highlight effect should be reversed so that "row highlight" is brighter than "2nd highlight" and not the other way around.
I actually like it this way. I've always visualized row highlight as beat markers and 2nd highlight as measure divisions. Maybe if it were configurable?
