I made a thread about my two request, but i might aswell post them here

1. Multi-channel midi
When i try to record on midi it only records the first channel

2. Special rock band guitar support
Something that picks up where the whammy bar is for a pitch bend or something...

Five requsets:

1. ?xx - Channel volume offset (volume counterpart of Pxx), 'xx' can be 01 - 1F, adds (xx - 10) to channel volume. ('?' can be 5, 6, 8, 9, E, J, K, L, M, N, O, T, U or W)
Note that if request #3 is fulfilled, 'xx' can be 01 - 41 in the FDS channel.

Example: Instrument 00's volume envelope is 11 8 6 4 2 0.
C-3 00 F ---
C-3 -- - ?0F <--- 10 7 5 3 1 0
C-3 -- - ?0E <--- 9 6 4 2 0 0
C-3 -- - ?0A <--- 5 2 0 0 0 0
C-3 -- - ?14 <--- 15 12 10 8 6 4
C-3 -- - ?01 <--- 0 0 0 0 0 0
C-3 -- - ?1F <--- 15 15 15 15 15 15
Request priority: 5/5

2. Groove/Swing setting. Those who have used LSDj should know what the groove setting is. It might be difficult to do as sometimes the composer needs different tempi but it will surely save all those abused Fxx commands.
Request priority: 2/5

3. 33-steps volume implementation of FDS channel. 0s to 15s in current releases should be doubled. Or simply not support 0.3.5. beta modules in next release.
Request priority: 4/5

4. Return to the first channel after editing the last one in the pattern editor window. It is inconvenient everytime when the pattern editor closes itself after doing some changes with the DPCM/MMC5 channel 2/FDS/sawtooth/VRC7 channel 6.
Request priority: 1/5

5. Sunsoft B5/FME7 support. It would be interesting.
Request priority: 3/5

ASIO driver support instead of DirectSound.
This would lower latency and improve audio fidelity. I would also like to reiterate the request for the ability to route individal channels to specific audio outputs.

That might actually be a good idea; routing the separate sound channels to different outputs. Perhaps people can make their songs play through a 5.1 surround sound system.

Hey, on this post I said something about the echoing thing. I found out how to do it. In the volume section, just set the first few volumes at 0 from the original voice, then copy and paste the original voice's volume.

sometimes the output of famitracker can be really quiet even at full blast, so an option to boost output to more than 100% would be good.

...Wouldn't that be a master volume control issue?

I dont really know too much about the nes's expansion chip capabilities. But i beleive it's possible to use more than one expansion chip on an nsf.

Will this ever be implemented in famitracker?

Even though it's possible to use more than one chip in the same NSF, it's only possible to run the NSF properly in an emulator program. If you try to load the NSF onto actual hardware, you'd be stuck unless you're using some sort of a miracle game cartridge.

It's all to do with the hardware's physical limitations.

Ahh, i feared that, would be nice to have an easier way to work with more than one expansion though.

Perhaps not for famitracker.

If you were using a powerpak, and you did the little expansion audio thing with the resistor and such, wouldn't it theoretically be possible to put an NSF with multiple expansion chips on the powerpak and play it on the NES that way? I've never had a chance to try it; My NES and powerpak were sent to retrozone several months ago to be repaired, and I don't have it back yet to test it...

You can't just think about the cartridge alone; you also have to consider the console's motherboard (since the cartridge has to communicate to the CPU).

I know this is yet another weird request, but can you add Jeroen Tel's sound to the new Famitracker? Jeroen Tel has a sound that changes duty cycles at 50 and 60 Hz. I tried that in Famitracker but the sound resets the sound everytime it plays a new note.
