Hm, how about the ability to select more than one tune at a time in the FTM when moving songs around? I was messing around with one of my few multi-track FTMs yesterday, and it was a tad frustrating having to move each track one-at-a-time to where I wanted it.
I think it'd be useful to be able to move clumps of tracks with Ctrl and Shift, particularly if they were already created in the order you wanted them in in the first place, but were a little out of order in the FTM/NSF itself.
Here's are a few requests (these would really push along famitracker's ability to be used for live performance):
Utilize Caps Lock!
I don't know what for, but it offers a whole new set of available keys. Perhaps you can use it for pattern controls? Like, when caps lock is active, the keys aren't used for note input, but instead maybe Q and W are square 1's pattern +/-, ER is square 2 +/-, etc...
ASDFG can be mute for each channel.
ZXCVB can be solo.
Make Scroll Lock deactivate Follow Mode.
More control over sound output. A perfect addition would be to route each channel to a specific output. This would allow you to, for example, if you're playing a show, really pump the drums, or boost the triangle a little since it gets lowered by the DPCM. This would be an amazing new feature I think.
Hmm. You mean specific output as in one channel for each speaker in a 5.1 setup? That would be pretty cool. Maybe that's not at all what you meant though. Anyway, I added the things about scroll and caps lock. Sounds really useful to me.
yeah, a 5.1 setup, or if you have an audio interface, like this: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FireWire410.html
then you could record each track separately with ease and mix it with more precision, and have more control over the sound in a live situation, opening up the ability to put certain effects on individual channels. The control this would give you is pretty limitless.
Hm, in addition to my previous request, how about the ability to export to NSFe? Working under the assumption that you would (and you really should) be naming the tracks as you made them, the tracks would all be pre-named in the NSFe as they appeared in the FTM!
EDIT: It would be nice if the channels were easier to identify in the frame editor. When using expansion chips the frame editor not only needs to be scrolled, but it's also hard to see which channel you're actually editing. If each channel had a little icon on top of it that helped you identify it it would be much easier to work with frame editor. Here's a few icons that might be useful, in order:
2 different Square ones (pick one), Triangle, Noise, 2 different DPCM ones (pick one), VRC6 Square, VRC6 Saw.
Of course these icons could be improved, but I'm just trying to get the idea out.
Another request: Ability to make the pattern editor fill the whole program window, hiding the frame editor, instrument list etc. It would also be great to be able to do the same thing with the pattern editor.
More: Ability to hear a specific pattern by clicking on the frame editor. Ctrl+LeftMB plays the channel you clicked on solo, Ctrl+RightMB plays all channels. When the pattern ends everything stops playing. This could be very useful if, say, you make the frame editor cover the whole screen. The key combinations could, of course, be changed for something else.
This keeps slipping my mind... is there any reason that bankswitching can't be used to get more than 16 KB of samples? Some mappers don't let you switch C000-FFFF, but there are mappers that do. (VRC6/7 mappers let you switch C000-DFFF, but not E000-FFFF. MMC5 lets you switch the whole range.) If it's possible, we should add it to the list.

The NSF format lets you switch the whole 8000-FFFF area regardless of the expansion chip used, it's just that I haven't implemented bankswitching for DPCM yet. I've planned to do it sometime, so it can be added to the list.
Ah yes. MMC5 is working in both the tracker and exported NSFs. :D
Sunsoft audio is on the way, I want the easy chips done first before I add the harder ones.
And there's a new pattern editor that allows selection across channels, drag'n'drop and is more optimized.
