Quick! Stop what you're doing. Cover Kraid's theme from memory. Don't listen to the original, just do it.
(I kind of have an unfair advantage because I've covered this on piano, guitar, and as a C++ program in years past.)

I can't peek? Even just a little?
I'm finding out that I really suck at this.
I'm pretty sure there are no H00 pops in the melody but that's what my ear wants to hear
The third pattern is gonna kill me so badly.

Ahh do whatever you need to I guess. Honestly I had listened to nicetas_c's cover from that other thread like an hour before I did mine. I'll probably try this again tomorrow to see if I still remember everything.
How about this for a rule, you can listen to it before you start. Once you start, do not listen to it again until done.

To hell with it. I'm not gonna get the 4th pattern melody.
My attempt.
My brain is knackered after that :o
At least we're all so far getting it in Gminor.
Also, @yucca, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQyZt5GlMgI&t=4m54s

I covered this a long time ago as well, but I went ahead and tried it by memory. It sounds like I got it spot on.

Second attempt. This time I haven't heard it today. :P This time I think I got the delay right, and that extra frame on loop.
I figured a few people here probably knew it by memory; it's been covered so many times. Personally, I love hearing what people fill in with where they can't remember (provided they don't give up). Zeph's pattern 03 is pretty interesting.
Raijin's version adds a nice little detune at the top.
I kinda want to do another one of these, but with a tune I haven't heard before.

...I don't get the point.
Perhaps later, but I can't even get the main riffs of even the most memorable of things down correctly without a reference like the original thing. :v

Who cares if I used FDS? Make it a triangle if it bothers you.
