I'm afraid you've set me on an impossible task! The FTM contains too much sample data and freezes the N163 when I try to play it on the hardware. I have filed a bug report, hopefully this will be fixed in the stable release of 0.4.3 and I'll be able to record it.
In the meantime, feel free to pick another candidate for recording, preferably once without too much DPCM data in it! ;)
huh, wow, that ftm was too complicated? guess that's why i wanted it to be recorded, to see if it would work. but it didn't. well, no problem. recording of orange rain will be nice too.
Yeah it is pretty bad. You get used to it after a while though, and I find it's not as bad on the hardware as it is in Famitracker (it's a bit quieter).
I talked to jarhmander (an IRL friend of mine and member of this community) about applying a filter mod to one of my N163 carts that would filter frequencies above 13 kHz. If this project does see the light of day at some point, I'll re-record 8-channel stuff so you guys have a version that doesn't give you a headache.
If you have anything that doesn't use the N163 expansion (or fewer than 5 N163 channels), I'd be happy to render that as well if you like.
