Back to the Industry was a lot shorter than I expected, for how epic it sounds. It was a lot of fun though. (Maybe for how fast it was done in; two doubled melodies == easy mode)

Back to the industry sounds really good. I remember covering it with the 2a03 a long time ago and I thought "Wow, I can't believe that was all there is to it".

Never Return Alive has a few fun parts in it, namely the rhythm line playing through the whole piece (in VRC6 pulse 1) and the melody in the saw. There were many things that got approximated here, but I think it made the conversion well.

Max Man was a lot of fun. I'm beginning to notice that the later stages and the moss themes include some kind of alarm-like tone in them, maybe to signify the breaking-and-entering the main characters are doing. Also, this piece shows off how muddled the arp instrument sounds on middle octaves.

The worst part about Revenge of Mr. X is that the Genesis' PSG is using all three channels in the main loop, but I can only use two of them in the setup I've created for myself. So the three-part harmony in the original is reduced to a third interval performing that melody. It sounds a bit hollow there, but after listening to the original, it still sounds correct. It's weird.

(1) I did Good End. Now all I have left is the remix of Go Straight and Little Money Avenue. The project is almost over, guys!

(2) I went back and touched up some of the older songs. I edited the echo part in Alien Power to be the right octave and I edited several parts in Expander to sound better/closer to the original/bring out some hidden parts. I really like the way Expander came out, especially Frame 06.

Go Straight (Beatmix) sounds a bit hollow compared to its original, but I guess that's the idea. It's really apparent with the section that was ripped straight from the original (frames 08-09). One song to go, guys! Almost done, then I'll actually need to make creative decisions on what to cover again!

Hm, with just 2 operators per channel for the VRC7 (as opposed to the YM2612's 4 operators per channel) it might be difficult actually... :\

Well, I kinda lied. I actually have a next project lined up...

(Nothing against your selection, but I've actually played FF8.)

Little Money Avenue is a fun song. Very jazzy.

And now I'm done! I guess I could do Walking Bottom since I have the VGM for it, but since it's not on the OST, I'm not gonna bother. Also, there's a remix of In The Bar on the OST, but it seems like it's just a slowed-down version of it.

I'll make an announcement YouTube video of it shortly, and upload it to my site, now that I'm finished.
