One thread is fine. Perhaps one for originals and one for covers would be acceptable too, so whichever floats your boat is fine by me.

Might I suggest you make yourself a 2a03.free.fr account? Your stuff definitely deserves to be heard by more people, and this is one of the big places where people store their chiptunes, modules, samples etc. It's a very useful place, and it's both fun and educative to listen to what other people make. Not everyone who posts there comes to these forums so it's kind of like an extra source for material.
Perhaps uploading NSFs (and optionally FTMs too) would be a good idea, if you do decide to make yourself a folder.

Cross a Fear is amazing. Really an underrated song, possibly because the intro turns people off.

EDIT: Just curious, where is the Turrican track originated? I can't exactly find it from my collection.

What a superb collection of covers! Love that Turrican cover, and the Mystical Ninja one too.

May I ask what game the tune in Pocky.ftm came from? :o

Hey hey whoa, let's let the man do as he pleases shall we?

Those are some amazing covers once again, Javel. Thanks for sharing! Perhaps my only gripe is that the MMC5 in IceHockey comes in a little bit too abruptly to my taste; perhaps a more gradual entrance would be more suitable.

EDIT: The VRC7 in Shining Force is a little bit too loud as well, it seems. :s

EDIT 2: I fixed your Ice Hockey cover, you missed 2 lines in frame 01. There would be more to fix on the first 3 channels to make it even more accurate (like slight pitch adjustments here and there) but I didn't bother. :p

So.. I'm not entering Famicompo 8's covers section because if Javel enters, he will win 1st through 5th.

edit: I liked the kokiri theme the most, so I made a hardware recording of it.

To me it sounds like it should be:
12 12 8 8 8 frames
Which is:
rest 8th 3[ 8th 8th 8th ]
(i.e. pull your last note back a row and add G01)

I listened to it at half speed, and I think there is a very slight delay on the last 8th of the triplet, but not enough to make it dotted 8ths with a 16th. Where you've put it seems like it's maybe a frame or two too late. The second 8th also seems to anticipate very slightly. It kinda sounds to me like a "live" playing of rest 8th triplet 8ths, not something I'd try to find a rational division of the beat for.

Maybe another alternative that's slightly more accurate:
12 11 9 9 7 frames

I think this would also sound good:
10 10 10 9 9 frames
Approximating a 5-tuple:
5[ rest 8th 8th 8th 8th ]

Edit: also, the second time around I think the first 8th gets a slight anticipation as well. Maybe like:
11 11 9 9 8 frames

I dunno though, I probably wouldn't want to do it 2 different ways in a chiptune cover of it.
