I concur with the ideas of hardware decays, triangle linear counter and VRC7 MML data.

I'd also love to be able to look at the default VRC7 patches' MML data once VRC7 MML data is available to manipulate, so I can make some experiments with evolving sound... Mweh heh heh.

I'd really like a "Open only one instance of Famitracker" option. Maybe an play-on-open type of thing too, but that's not as important.

As long as it's an OPTION, it's OK. Because there are some of us looking forward to compose a track through several FTMs.

Which is precisely why I said option and not feature...

Hi, I've added some of these requests, it will be available in 0.3.7. I think it will be ready soon.

There are a few questions:

1.

2. Press Ctrl and drag over the pattern editor to select more than one distinct area at once
Do you mean select whole channels instead of single columns?

2.

Axx seems so limited by the fact that it only has 16 possible values for each direction, so it can't do really long fades. I have seen people using long strings of consecutive A01s, but that seems so cumbersome. Why not just add two more effects, say, Mxx and Nxx, that volume slide up and down, respectively, but with xx being the value in the range 0 - 255 for each?
Volume is translated from 16 to 128 levels when doing slides, but it's still not enough and I've had requests on this previously so I'll try to come up with something. Just haven't done it yet.

3. There's been some discussion about the unsupported sound hardware before (linear counter & envelopes). My opinion is still that this was something used in early games or when CPU time or space is critical and is not needed when software envelopes are available. Are there any particular reason you want this added anyway?

4. I'll also have to think about how to do transposing. Wouldn't it be better to have it as a separate option somewhere in relation to the order list rather than an effect?

1. Whoops I think I was drunk.

But then I found an issue/bug: when you drag a selection to some other position, you should press Ctrl BEFORE dragging rather than WHILE dragging to duplicate it.

3. It takes more time to go 240Hz and make those envelopes from scratch and then stretch all other envelopes, not to say that the FME7/B5 channels make great use of it.

Plus, why not add new features that do no harm?

YES

Cannot wait!

EDIT: A new request list has been posted since nicetas_c will not be able to maintain this one anymore. Please post any further requests in that thread from now on. Thank you!
