What pattern is the C64 duty cycle? Do you arbitrarily have it "reset" the sweeping sound?
Are you talking about the loop I posted, or about the C64 in general?
If you're talking about the loop, I'm just using the Vxx command to start cycling the pulse width at different points for certain. notes
Hmmm...something's wrong with the poll. I edited Jochen in there, but it seems the whole poll is missing. Either that or I just can't see it.
This is one of the things that makes this forum software just great: once you add a poll to your thread, you can't edit it without removing it permanently! Isn't that amazing????
Add that to the plethora of absolutely fantastic features such as the inability to sticky/announce existing threads, the fact that you can't edit an already sticky/announced thread without permanently downgrading it to a regular post, the existence of ghost pages when you do something totally unexepected such as delete a post, and much more!
Seriously though it's time jsr did something about that switch to phpBB because I'm starting to get really fkin tired of this shit.

I'm asking if the certain notes you picked are arbitrary or follow some pattern that has to do with the SID chip

Don't forget that the link to the forum software is dead, so no one is here to fix anything.

Yeah, that's kind of exactly my point; it's about time we leave this old piece of junk behind and move on to something that's actually relevant in 2014 (such as phpBB).
If you're trying to emulate the SID sound, you also have to remember that it has no way of manually controlling channel volume, all 3 of them have a hardware driven ADSR envelope, so you have to mimic that with your Famitracker instruments.
