Effect Axy

From Famitracker Wiki

(Redirected from Axy)
Jump to: navigation, search

Axy - volume slide, can be used on any channel except Triangle and DPCM. A0x = slide down, Ax0 = slide up. A larger value will result in a faster slide. A00 will stop the volume slide.

Amongst other things, this effect is useful for creating hi-hats on the noise channel.

Examples

C-4 00 F ---
--- -- - ---
--- -- - A01
--- -- - ---
--- -- - ---
--- -- - A00

C-4 is note, 00 is instrument number, F is volume. Volume slide down starts from line with Axx effect and will continue until A00.

C-4 00 F A0F
--- -- - ---
D-4 00 - ---
--- -- - ---
C-4 00 F ---
--- -- - ---

C-4 and D-4 are notes, 00 is instrument number, F is volume. Only the two C-4 notes are played at full volume; D-4 picks up where the volume is at the end of the first C-4 and continues it.

F-3 00 F A06
--- -- - A0A
G-3 00 F A06
--- -- - A0A
A-3 00 F A06
--- -- - A0A

F-3, G-3 and A-3 are notes, 00 is instrument number, F is volume. Axy commands can be mixed to create complex fading instruments.

D-3 00 F A01 744
--- -- - --- ---
--- -- - --- 754
--- -- - --- ---
--- -- - --- 764
--- -- - --- ---

D-3 is note, 00 is instrument number, F is volume. Axy commands can be mixed with other effects to create more effects, such as combining Axy with 7xy to create echoes.
