That suspense while waiting for results to come out... Ofcourse, we all knew which track would win, but still. Here are my submissions and some background story!
Graveflinger started as a cover of another song, but I only got 4 frames in before giving up. I tried adding some new segments about one week before the deadline, and the outcome was a pleasant surprise. Since I've only ever done covers before this, I just took the plunge and submitted it. 13th place is way more than I'd hoped for!
Cooking, well what can I say... bored on the train to uni a year back, rushed through it from memory. Since originals and cover submissions were separate, I thoguht it'd be a pity if I didn't submit a cover as well. I am very happy with 67th place.
I voted the troll entries pretty low. Doggtales only gets credit for making me laugh
Oddly enough, it isn't as funny now as it used to be when I listen to it.

Most likely because when you first heard it the "SMOKE WEED EVERY DAY" came as a surprise, since it was unexpected, and then then the whole thing was amusing to first listen to. I guess now that everyone knows that Snoop Dogg is the DPCM track it isn't as much as an amusing surprise as it was the first time...
Not DPCM. Raw PCM. [/autism][/doesn't matter][/he probably doesn't care]
I knew it was raw PCM, because it couldn't have been so high quality if it was DPCM, but I haven't seen an .NSF player that ever said "PCM channel." (There probably are a lot or something but I've only seen like three .NSF players and they all said DPCM OK!!!!)
Man, those fake BBCode tags at the end pretty much tell you I'm just joking.
Did fake BBCode stop being a thing all of a sudden, or is it just hard to tell I'm joking? 'Cause it's happened countless times before, not just this one.
I actually find it weird that he did it with PCM since it'd be pretty easy to do it with DPCM in FamiTracker, but I think he was kind of new to FamiTracker, so maybe didn't consider it an option.
Edit: also, there's no PCM channel, skinny (well, unless you count that MMC5 abomination) but you can tell it's PCM in NSFPlay/NSFPlug when you see the DMC channel's "volume" changing constantly (or if you NSFImport and there's no sample played but a lot of Zxx events).
