This tune wasn't originally gonna be some escape like tune you hear in video games, but when I added the bass, I thought why not?

It's okay, but the lead sounds abrasive to me. Also, might as well use some of the other channels, like at least pulse 1 and 2.

I say that the beat is perfect, except that the lead sounds like it needs more duty.

Seriously, I wonder if you have used just the FDS instrument and the Triangle/Noise/Samples, which is what it sounds like to me. This is fine, though, but if you are going to use that lead, see if there's a way to spruce it up a bit (providing you aren't already modulating the sound).

There is a delay for the FDS' FM function. You can hardwire it into your instrument. I found it kind of handy myself when I discovered it and how it works.
