Now that you've seen my transcription of Clubbed To Death, I guess I can say that it's not my first time using FamiTracker.
The transcription was actually my fourth; I've already transcribed three other tracks (an old Swedish folk song called Herr Mannelig, assorted Russian songs for my own rendition of a Tetris track & a song from the Canadian cartoon The Raccoons, called Run With Us).
My very first trial-run of FamiTracker was an original soundtrack I made (for a theoretical RPG I had in mind). This was made before I had a better understanding of DPCM, so my percussion is absolutely horrible, in my opinion (I used strict noise-only percussion).
I know I can definitely improve this track, so please check the attachments & tell me what you think I should change (if you think it's lousy).

Yeah; I went on a search for a DPCM sample pack, so now I'm equipped with some interesting beats. But I prefer using DPCM for percussion & only using the noise channel for accentuating it.
Honestly, I also intend to add sound effects to the track (such as a sword swing, a cash register sound à la Super Mario, a sound effect for gun fire, etc.). And with DPCM in use, I can't really do this because the sound effects would take precedence over the music & cut out the percussion (if it were to be programmed into a game).

Not bad, but. . . I don't hear percussion. Did the song download incorrectly? I mean, why the crap do I not hear percussion nor see percussion in the FTM, but the other comments suggest that percussion exists? I feel dumb or something. :[
Thanks. Mind you, I only see minor horror themes in my track (namely the Sanctuary themes & Necropolis theme).
I originally came with this soundtrack as part of a hypothetical, open-source adventure game for the NES (part of which actually involves some horror elements as well as medieval/revolutionary elements).
My idea was for a game modeled after Crystalis in terms of game play.
