Hey guys! I'm kinda new here even though I've been tinkering with FamiTracker for ages. Nevertheless, this is actually the first song that I've came up with myself. I'm really proud of it, but I wanna see how everyone else thinks. Like, give me a score from 1 to 10 and tell me what you think I can do to make this better. There's always room for improvement! Thanks in advance.

Okay, I have to admit; Shovel Knight inspired me to make this thing. I kinda referred to it for the percussion and stuff. Who wouldn't though? The soundtrack is freaking awesome!

Well done! That melody is friggin awesome. However, no one (of the 30 people that have replied, L77, L77, L77, etc.) has done what was asked, so here I go: 8/10.

It's a little short. The chord progression can seem a little stiff at times, but that's fine as long as there is a little variation, like there is here. I love the way you seamlessly mixed pulse 2 with chord-bass things and melody backups.

However, the melody is where this song really shines. The note changes are handled with so much epic variation which can almost sound Fearofdark-esque, in the best sense possible. Overall great work on this, and welcome to the forums! You sure have made quite an introduction!

Wow, thanks! I didn't really expect someone to fully understand how I did all this! And I'll try and see if I can make it any longer in the future.
