What is absolutely fantastic is that most people can take a Rock Man 2 GB song and make it immediately better due to some poor choices that Capcom made (dat pitch, for instance).
What would absolutely be fantastic is if this was in VRC6. I can just imagine the niiiiiiiiice bass...

OK, I gotta be honest...
For me it's both yes and no.
One of the reasons why I don't make many VRC6 songs is because of this, Tri + VRC6 Sawtooth is sooooooo overused. I honestly can't remember the last time when people used sawtooth + square for bass, or the VRC6 sawtooth as the lead.
Anyway, I know you like Akumajo Densetsu, so it's no surprise that you would say something like this. But you're correct though, it would be nice to hear that bass, but it's so overused that I'm almost sick of it.
I think I'm wrong about this, but I think Junk Man from MM7 uses sawtooth (or a sawtooth-ish instrument) as the main lead, I would love to see people to something like this instead of doing the same old thing.
This cover is interesting btw, I like that you went for a Enker-ish approach here. Even though it would be nice to add sawtooth for the bass, I personally don't think it necessarily needs that.

I'll be honest when I say the primary reason I don't use VRC6 is because I'm garbage at it.
It clearly fits the Mega Man style well, I just can't capture it without restricting the VRC6 channels to solely background flare. To be fair though Pulse 2 and 3 aren't too much different from a Sawtooth in application, so whatever.
