Two BotB submissions. Get Running entered into yesterday's NSF+ compo, where I took the theme "white notes only". Having to Make Do was some shit I rushed so I could play Gmod with a bunch of other guys.
oh, but that one's good AFTER that part, even though my ears are now bleeding.
And, having to make do is... strange. Also, the opening is also painful to the ear, but not as much, especially not as much to someone with a "normal" listening device.*
[color=#393939]* = I wear a broken headset made for detecting footsteps in video games, also not made for PC use, so the ear-shattering pain pretty much all of your openings cause me is a little bit exaggerated by my headset, and most people won't feel the pain like I do.
EDIT: Forgot to ridicule your every offiness.
In get running, the place where the arpeggio and lead are together sounds definitely quite weird (in a bad way), and I'm forced to wonder if you even considered switching the type of chord that is being played by the arp.
Having to make do is very repetitive, and your copping out from using a real lead later in the song (and opting for a simple broken chord with self-delay) was a very boring choice.
I want to, but they're so expensive! A nice headset (specifically, the one I'm looking at) is, like, a whole $15 CAD! That's, like, two breakfasts!
(no, but, seriously, I just don't have the spare money, and I probably should have thought for a second before buying a $120 console headset notorious for breaking)
Also, I edited my post above, right after you posted, before I realized that you posted because I was writing it.
Arpeggio: I was lazy
Having to Make Do: I rushed that entry because I was playing Trouble in Terrorist Town with some Runouwians parallel to making it, so yes there's a lot of bad stuff

So do I. Turtle Beach P11, for PS3. Not a problem that I can detect.
Some other places I've tried to conquer:
