I'm a first time poster and I have a work in progress on a VCR6 remix of Wolverine's theme from X-men vs Street Fighter. I'm currently working on creating a full VRC6 album of the game's soundtrack and I wanted to have some advice on this.
Greetings, and welcome to the forums! I must say that this sounds really good so far! I do have one suggestion. A lot of new users tend to do this, so don't feel left out. When two channels of the same note are played, it sounds messy and ugly. This also occurs if two channels using the same note, but one octave apart from each other, are played. There's a handy effect that allows you to adjust the pitch of a note. It's mapped to the P key and it's often referred to as the Pxx effect. The xx part of the effect is the pitch. 80 is the default tuning. I see that you have used it already, so I think you know what it does.) [url=http://www.famitracker.com/wiki/index.php?title=Pxx]You can find more info on the Wiki.
In frame 07, the 2A03 pulses use the same note, but one octave apart from each other. It doesn't sound so good, so what I recommend is on pulse 2, you set a Pxx effect to P7F or P81, or whatever you feel sounds best. I also recommend you throw in a little vibrato on those notes, but not too much. I made a fix to show you a better example. See frame 07.
Fun tip: The Pxx effect can also be used to create a chorus effect. Have two channels play the same note at the same time, but put a Pxx effect on one of the channels. [url=http://www.famitracker.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_make_chorusing]More info here.

Thank you very much for the fix and suggestion. Very much appreciated!
Forgive me if this is a noobish question, but do you think that that frames 01 - 06 also require this as well? I've been trying my best to make those frames sound like the distorted guitar in the beginning of the song. I adding pulse 1 and 2 as chorus channels was a last minute decision, so I'm curious if they add anything or subtract from the mix.
