Enough time for mass experimentation--on to something I've wanted to do since the beginning!

This theme is probably the most famous of the Rock Man 4 themes--rightfully so. I absolutely love this theme (as well as its Complete Works counterpart) and had always wanted to cover this song. I finally found the time (and the techniques) to work on this song and finish it in about...four hours or so.

For those that don't know the original (shame on you), [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEl-qcG46FA]here it is.

Everybody knows the drill, so I won't delay any further. Enjoy.

Love the changes in the percussion here! If you could make the snare just a liiiiiiittle bit louder, that'd improve it, though.

Finally! Proper pitch slides! :D

This is an interesting take on the song, thanks for sharing it. I can't decide if frame 2 is necessary or not (I find it a bit weird) and I agree with Luteus, the snare should be louder. Other than that, I like this version.

This is just me, but may I suggest that the DPCM should be more... techno-ish? I uploaded a ftm file to see what I mean (I also made the snare slightly louder, it probably should be even louder). It would be interesting to see if you can make the percussion sound more like in Endless Stages. (Btw, don't add dots in the file name, it might give some people problems)

Listening tests aplenty with those. I had this urge to get them...JUST right. Almost made me resort back to old habits...

Frame 02 is loosely based on the Complete Works version, which also had this little bit added. Then again, THAT also skipped Frames 00 and 01 and I liked how they sounded. Would've been a shame to only hear them once.

The Endless Stages, eh? I might try a bit of experimenting this week to see how that works out. As for naming the files, I never really knew how periods worked and that some people had issues (will change the moment I get behind a computer and not a iPad). I'll also take a look at your attachment later today and give proper feedback when I do.

After listening, the DPCM is a better fit, as is the louder snare.
