Before jrlepage (or another Mod) comes at me with a constant *Practically One Post a Day* thing, let this be known: For the most part, this project will be my true study. I lost interest when doing Banjo-Kazooie's Soundtrack for personal reasons, but this is THE one. This is a soundtrack that NEEDS the "magic touch" as some people call it in regards to my musical skills.
Now...I only have two songs completely done and I'll add descriptions when and where needed, so...bear with me.
I originally wanted to hold showing this off until Christmas when it would likely be completed...but I can't contain myself. I'm working on the entire Soundtrack to Mega Man 2 on the Game Boy. Simply put, I'm going to have some SERIOUS fun with this one. Now for the descriptions of the currently done songs. Note: Crash Man is NOT done yet. I just have that little thing and I may or may not continue on it. I'm kinda stuck on that.
Stage Select: Originally, I was going to have this be upbeat, cheerful(ish), and epic. Instead, you have what you're listening to...or about to listen to. It's actually darker and slower than I thought it'd turn out...and I kinda like how it is.
Hard Man: I have changed some of the song, so take another look. It's better than before.
The .ftm and .nsf updates will be both at the initial post and latest post to offset any possible confusions when finding the latest versions.
As usual...enjoy.
Hard Man: ANYBODY that has heard RushJet1's Mega Man 3 Soundtrack knows what the style is based off of. The four Mega Man 3 Robot Masters, I believe, should be a bit of a homage to the guy. I mean...his work was genius. Well, I did it in the style and really liked it, so that's when I REALLY wanted to work on the soundtrack. I might get into Rushjet1's Styles for the Mega Man 3 Robot Masters, though you're definitely going to be seeing some twists to it--trust me.
In this case it looks like you just lifted the tri/noise/dpcm/vrcsq1/2/saw directly out of my hard man cover, and I wouldn't mind, but it doesn't really fit here-- some of the notes clash badly with the gameboy hard man theme - probably should change those...

To be honest, it was a small test. Definitely clash oddly in many places. Don't worry--I'm changing some of the parts a bit tomorrow when I get some time after class. I kinda *subtly* made it as a beta, but some people liked it, so I put it on here. On the other hand, it's not great.
I'll make sure I use SOME, but not all, parts for some of the other Robot Masters. I was only planning on adding Swing to Magnet Man, increasing the overall tempo of Needle Man as a reference to the Doc Robot Stage, and with Top Man...I'm not entirely sure what element to add in there. I want to keep the overall feel of Hard Man, but that will be somewhat challenging. I absolutely loved the feel you used with MM3 and I wanted to somewhat carry it over...kinda went overboard :/
...wow, I'm dragging this. I would like to know what you think of the Stage Selection Theme...as short as it is o.o

Yeah I think the Stage Selection Theme is kind of dark. And what's up with the titles? I mean, I get the Erection Man (that was not funny. Really.), Chick Magnet, and a few others, but what is "Here's an AK-47"? Really...

You want me to explain the "why" of things in regards to the song titles? It's quite simple, really: Because I can. I don't care if they're funny--if Ke$ha can sing about being a party slut with an attitude without anybody batting an eye, what makes this any worse?
Oh...take the hint. "You get..." I mean, it's the "I'm getting a weapon" Theme.

Alright, so under the suggestion from Rushjet1, I've changed up most of the song in Hard Man. Here's the updated .ftm here and it has been added up in the first post (the .nsf has been removed until the entire project is complete). Instead of altering the parts from him, I replaced most of them. The lead elements and percussion remain, while the introduction is unchanged, but the rest of the song has changed up some.
