Yeah, I'd like to take a crack at some of the show's other songs sometime. It's got some really good pieces. I've had this nagging feeling to cover something anyways, but I haven't really found anything that interests me, so I'll probably look up some of the show's tunes and see if anything really piques my interest.
About the percussion, I tried the best I can to make the triangle kick noticeable, but it could probably be better. The snare is alright, it's just the kick that I really want to fix up. Something about the combination of noise and triangle that other composers used is something that I want to emulate, but not out right copy- I could just NSFimport a song of choice and copy those drums, but I want to make something original. For now, they're good enough.
I'm also really into drums, and it doesn't help that marching season is starting back up. Marching band percussion is really entertaining, I find. Probably the complexity, I dunno.

If you want to test something new, you could try to use a Sine wave instead of Triangle (or something between Sine and Triangle).
Hmm... maybe we should do a collab? Maybe that will encourage me to do more pony stuff than just Mega Man.

Well, I wanted to keep this 2a03 only. Having an extra N163 or FDS channel just for that seems kinda like a waste, too. I'd probably use it for extra bass so it wouldn't be sitting there, since only the middle of the song uses drums.
Also, I had thought about asking to collab in my last post, but I edited it out, along with some other stuff (I'm real cautious when it comes to posting stuff. It usually takes me a few good minutes just to post something, what with spellchecking, proofreading, and just trying to get my thoughts out correctly.) I'd like to do it sometime, just let me know. (Btw, your Mega Man stuff is just fine, really. It wouldn't hurt me any if you did some more, but I definitely can understand running yourself around the same old stuff and wanting to try something new.)
