Yes! I love the triangle channel being used for melodies, it just sounds so awesome!

Would love to hear the finished version of your remake some time in the future! If the rest of the song turns out as good as this little bit I will be a very happy person. :D

Quick question though, how come you changed the tempo setting instead of using a rational tempo or just using F87 (translates to 135bpm)?

That's because I composed the original song at that tempo in another program. (And yes, I know all of the effects, I just do things my own way. :P)
