I decided to rearrange this song based by memory of ear, and I must say, I prefer the original.
I still think this went better than when I tried rearranging this one song one "kinkijin" posted a while ago. That just went horribly, and I won't even let you hear that atrocity.
Anyways, the snare is largely based off of the actual drumline in the song, and the first half of the song has no massive changes, but then the second half of the song was entirely redone, and I think I might have even changed the chord progression, considering that last, held note sounds beautiful. The crash cymbal was, of course, made just for the last part, because this song wouldn't sound right without that there.
EDIT: OH MY GOD NOW THE BACKGROUNDS SOUNDING BAD MAKES PERFECT SENSE
Henceforth I have updated the song with the improved background dumpets, and improved the snare a tiny bit.
Bump, added some cymbal abuse and adjusted the volume levels a bit to be more listenable.
Mostly just made the background dumpets in the second half less confusing by lowering them, and then boosted them to D in the last note.
Also, fun fact, I find the module to sound nicer when started from the second half. The slower default speed that I added for the intro makes the second half sound like an intro, and a good one.
Some other places I've tried to conquer:
Sounds very nice! But I'll be honest. I've never heard the original. Oh well. Sounds good anyway.
Also, added a slowdown on the end of the second part.
Made the brass instrument softer to match the original feel of the song a little closer, and renamed it to disinclude dumpets, even though the instrument now sounds nothing like a dumbone in the bass.
Also, fixed a little timing thing on the ritard that was bugging me.
And made the snares slightly more DPCM so that they wouldn't overpower the brass, since the smoother instrument is also a little quieter to people with "treble-hearing", as I call it.
It's not necessarily that they have "treble-hearing", it may be because they're listening through laptop speakers. =P
But anyways, some of the chords sound off to me, and the modulator level should be higher. But that's me and my laptop speakers, so yeah.

I made the chords sound off because I'm not using the original chord sequence. Even the first chord is "wrong".
Also, the slightly older versions that don't have too much different have the higher modulator levels, and I could easily even upload a version for sax quartet instead of brass, if it were to help people with low-bass speakers. Just, keep in mind that, since I don't particularly like the saxophone, the timbre of the instrument might be a little off.
EDIT: Okay I got it to sound both like a saxophone and GOOD, so that's two things I'd never thought I'd do, since I don't like the chainsaw, especially alto and up, and I had to put up with sopranos here. Surprisingly, the snare levels were PERFECT for this reinstrumentation, too, so this is now my favourite version until I get the trombone "quartet" "live" version done.
EDIT: Made some changes to both versions. Raised the modulator level in the brass version since the third and fourth brass instruments were more prominent than the lead, even with lower volume and a background part.
Both versions are now written differently, written more for their instrument. Brass has longer holds, and saxophone has more note changes. Ultimately, the saxophone version is harder to play, and with the saxophone instrument I made, it sounds better, too. So, really, listen to the sax one if you don't know which one to judge me on.
The supper chainsaws one sounds so bubbly, as in the instrumentation for the saxophones. I don't think it's the attack, but it's more of the sustain I believe? I can't be too sure, though.
But the brass one sounds good. Only complaint I have is that it sounds drowned-out for some reason. But that might just be the module itself. Still, I feel like it holds back the piece. Perhaps it has to do with balancing? Or maybe use a different type of channel for the treble, haha. ;P
(This is all said without worrying about how similar it is to the original)
I'm sorry for the slight bump, made a small change to the brass version that makes a hell of a difference, which was increased the volume exaggeration on the lead channel, making the whole channel sound the same volume, and also making it louder and easier to hear. This pretty much removed the main flaw of the brass version in comparison to the other (two) version(s), in my opinion.
EDIT: Oh goddamnit why didn't anyone tell me I just uploaded the sax version again instead of the brass version?
