I think the original song didn't change speed at the end, but it's a nice touch.

You should be careful when using arps. These sound bad. Also, there were plenty of times where you could have put harmonies using both pulse channels instead of just using an arp in channel 2(being frame 04 a good example of this).

About channels, it might be useful to think that they don't have only one function, like doing the lead or bass, but you can also give them other uses, specially if they are empty.

Finally, if you need to ask something to jsr, it's better if you send a PM to him because most likely he will not answer your questions here. For bigger things it might be better to make a new thread in another section.

Well, nice fact that you didn't rickroll us again. I don't know if you would get banned for that, though. You must be really, REALLY annoying in that sense to accomplish that. This thread might have been deleted if it was another rickroll. Also, it wouldn't have been fun.

Arpeggio tick means that the arps run at a slower speed. In Deflemask, setting it to 2 means that a 047 effect would be | 0 0 4 4 7 7 . Setting it to 3 means that it would become | 0 0 0 4 4 4 7 7 7 .

Regulation of arps is the worst, since it's a pretty extended work you have to give them to make them sound good, thus increasing your amount of instruments and decreasing your chances of actually getting something good overall, because you focus on only one thing.

Instruments are, unfortunately, the only way to make decent arps with relative ease, since effect 0xy doesn't give good results when they aren't implemented through an instrument.

Take a blank inst, go and put a random 0xy and it'll sound pretty bad, so delete it if you must. Now go to the instruments tab and you'll have lots of options, including volume, duty cycles and manual arpeggio sequences. It is tedious, but worth it.

I know increasing the amount of instruments in a module is something not many people like to do(including me), but without speed 1 or awesome skills, you just can't make good arps.

I would suggest you try this in a blank module, and if it goes okay, pass it to this cover. Arps with regulated volume commands are nice, so you might wanna learn how to do that.

I hope these ideas help you. The good thing is that you will have learned something once you are over, which is nice.

So I've tried Sunsoft Bass and the samples aren't long or hard enough. So I imported my own samples and used that. And you guys are right - it sounds better with this kind of bass. A shame it goes out of tune on some notes.

That's why I like Deflemask's arp tick so much. It lets you do the same thing with less instruments.

these are good arps

this is an old module don't accuse me of not being true to my word

try to learn something from these arps i guess (i really like how they sound ha ha manfred linzner is undisputed king of arps :v)
