I tried copying a song I made in SunVox over to Famitracker. It needs a lot of cleaning up, but I might finish it. I don't even think I should have used multichip.

Very pretty, but I think the intro could be condensed a bit!

Very nice. I still haven't gotten the hang of sunvox, but I like it. This is sounding really good, I think it could really use some echo in the FTM, though. All around, its on a great start.

The noise drums could use some humanization and/or variety.
Tri could have things on it besides just straight tones, for example tri kicks/tri snare augmentations/single frame one octave higher starts. As well, it could have surprise lead-ins into the nest chord.

It'd be nice to hear the VRC7 chimes play things besides the chord you're in occasionally (especially when all you do is play the same chord twice in a row.)

The melody on VRC6 is good, but you could play around with having duty cycle changes (either evolving ones across the song, or an instrument that changes per note)

In general, it's nice sounding but it feels more like the blueprints for a song than the song itself, with all the things that 'play it straight' and just do a chord or just the root or whatever. An enjoyable listen but I want more.

What version of Famitracker do you use? In 4.2, you have to put the volume right on the note, not on silence.

Yeah, like I said, needs a lot of cleaning up! :P
Putting in some VXX commands for now... I don't think this fits well with Famitracker so far. I'll need to redo everything.

Anyway, I made this song for a game I'm working on. I was in a computer lab and wasn't feeling productive, so I loaded up SunVox from my portable hard drive and messed around with modules I hadn't touched before. It was quite fun as I'm currently learning the basics of mixing.

That's cool. I know you're a capable composer, so I was surprised to see you post something this... crappy. Good luck on the game, btw!

The new tri really feels like something that needs reverb or portameno slathered over it.

For example, try giving the tri channel a '330' effect.

I prefer the term "work in progress". .E.
