I made this cover to help Warheart with his retro project, but ended up being everything except that. It's my first non-VRC6 cover. In fact, I made it with N163, 6 channels. It ended better than I expected.

I still need some feedback or recommendations for it, since I'm still a rookie in making stuff with N163.

And I think that FTM and NSF sound different, but not in a bad way.

Yay! Silly easter egg track!

Seems people would rather post in dead gym's thread than yours, isn't that strange? Haha, can't say I'm suprised.

Gotta say, everything sounds really balanced volume-wise. Mhm. Lead is pretty smooth too.

Thanks for posting here, I was feeling lonely. This song was hard to work volume-wise, but turned out good. And yes, they post in gyms' years old dead thread and not here. That's weird.

I also think in some way this stage sucks, but still has given me some fun these last days(yes, I have a PS and play this game). But actually it had never bothered me, even those "JUMP, JUMP - SLIDE, SLIDE" things.

However, no thanks for making that terrible post your signature(it's still funny though).

Almost perfect! It's just 0C and 0E aren't quite right.

What is the exact thing that's wrong? I'm curious about that, and it's difficult to find out where's the exact spot which has the wrong setting, since there are too much channels. Oh, and thanks for posting.

Your version is more different than I expected.
I like it, it does have more MM8 sound to it, somehow...
I'm not sure if this helps me though, because it's simply too different, but I will be listening to your version if I can find some stuff that could improve my version.

Question: Which version did you listen to (PSX or Saturn)?

You know, I tried to make this song more like a mix of Chill Man and Frost Man, that's probably why it sounds emptier than the original one.

BTW, I really like your Candy Mountain cover, so I've been working on a Game Boy-ish version, just for fun

I based my cover in the PSX version. In fact, it is the only one I've heard.

What you might find of use in my module is probably the bassline, since yours has some wrong notes in some places, specially in the almost last frame. Also, you could use the choirs to add them to your song. Probably that is what your cover lacks the most. Just take the notes and adapt them to the module you have, changing instruments, effects and maybe some notes, since mine isn't perfect.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I appreciate you like my Candy Mountain cover, and I would like to hear your GB version.

Did anyone notice there are two songs in the module?

That G# in the Namco 2 shouldn't be there. That's where the C# goes. Other than that, perfect as far as I can tell.

I'll check that. Doing covers by ear is hard. Thank you both.

How many Namco channels can I use if I don't want that annoying hiss? Is it 1-6?
