Hello! It's been a while (almost a year), but work on my album and school have been keeping me from being bored recently. It's not much, but I am working on the rest of the Yoshi's Island OST, one song at a time. This time it is "Make Eggs, Throw Eggs." It is more experimental this time (trying to settle on a common style for the entire soundtrack).
N163 channel 4 is mostly empty because, for the lead, its portamento doesn't seem to like me (at least when played against Pulse 2). So it's for only the trumpet chords. Another reason for 4 Namco channels is to make it easier to merge these in to one *.FTM once the soundtrack is done.
Also, the tempo isn't 150 but I needed the BPM 488 and I do not know how it's possible to work the Fxx effect like Lepage... It shouldn't be too bad, though.
Any thoughts/criticism are welcome, thanks!
EDIT: reuploaded *.FTM (lowered the volume of the trumpet chords a tad)
I have one complaint, the DPCM samplse sound awkward, specially the one on E-3...
Oh, okay! Seems like putting soft samples from Audacity in to the DPCM import adds too much white noise... This time, I used three versions of the loud snare, and used the Gain to make the second and third softer instead, and this is what it sounds like.
There seems to be a weird high-pitched pop with some drum notes (seems to be Eb), but only when played with the noise channel. Weird; could be the volume controls on the hi hats are messing with it or something...
I'm recording this on hardware as soon as I get my TNS-HFC3 back.

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to request a hardware render.
A lot better than what I'd have come up with, I'm sure.
My only suggestion is I can't help but think you could do something with Pulse 1 and 2 with the brass part at the end. A chorus effect does wonders for brass, for instance.

I tried to without making it sound too much like Batman, here's the result; hope it's better!
