I originally started working on this a year ago to the day and made a whopping total of four frames. Today, since Street Fighter x Mega Man came out, I went back and revisited it. Mainly because I had only remembered about it at that point.
Truth be told, most of the work done today only took about an hour, so I'm fairly confident with it now.
What effect is the constant switching of the Fxx command having? I know it changes the speed, but why 5,1,4,1,5?
It lets you lay out effects like this:
xx....xx...xx....xx...xx....xx...xx....xx...
where x is a frame of the song you can have an effect on.
So you can do one frame duty cycle changes, one frame volume changes, one frame echoes, etc
I'm sorry, I keep looking at the file and I'm not fully understanding what you mean. Couldn't you just do the same thing you're talking about by making slightly different instruments? Or by putting effects in the channels you want them in? I guess what I'm getting at is this: I can see the effects in the seperate channels and I understand how they're affecting the sound, but I don't understand what the Fxx command is doing to them in the process.
