Playing around with this multichannel black magic. I wish I'd started on it sooner, this is awesome!

Sounds good, but other than for sound design, I really don't think you need multi-expansions for this song.

And uh, if you consider N163 has no noticeable multiplexer hiss when using 6 channels (or even at full 8 channels, with the right emulator), you could do this perfectly fine using N163 and have all the channels you have there.

Eh, more just to get a feel for it. I've had trouble finding a song that will actually fill out all the channels on something like this, and something like N163 + VRC7 just crashes Famitracker no matter what version I try.

You only need N163. There's no need to have multiple expansions, because N163 can handle up to 8 channels.

Awesome cover, a shame it can't convert to NSF though :/ anyways keep doing what you do. I'm actually a cover of Explore from Homestuck.

Hi! I'm popping in to say you shouldn't bump old threads! Since you are new, read this and this. I hope you learn to behave. Any questions? Send a PM to jrlepage(the mod) or me(the only Mastah here).

It's not THAT old, besides, When I read your post, it REALLY sounds like its a mod's job to say. I could be wrong, though I do agree not to bump old post. PLEASE say I don't sound like a mod, too, cause I think I might sound like one right now.

I don't see the problem with bumping old topics if you have something relevant and meaningful to say. After all, songs do not have expiration dates - a song good 10 years ago is still good today.

An example of a bad bump would be posting in a topic for a bug that was solved ages ago.

for some reason unbeknownst to me, it is a common rule on smaller forums to not "necro" threads.

i guess cool songs have an expiration date or something.

with a bit of thought, it's probably to stop people from disruptively bumping a bunch of old topics, but imo the approach should be "ban the disruptive poster" and not "stop all conversation on old threads ever", because i've found things via search that i *want* to comment on, but refrain from doing so because it's not worth the time to think about whether or not it's breaking the rules to do so.

You know what else is a common rule on smaller forums?

No backseat modding...

Hmmm... I'm definitely not a mod, nor I plan to be one, although I sound like it at given times, so sorry for that.
No backseat modding...
What do you mean by that?

And well, bumping old threads could be at times useful. This one is not that old, so it could be tolerable. Plus, his post wasn't like IT'S GOOD, so yeah, that was foolish from me. Sorry for that. I'll try to be not so useless when posting.

Though I only wanted to help sniff sniff...

I like how the discussion about backseat moderating and necrobumping has effectively derailed the thread, breaking one of the rules in itself :P

"a person participating in online forum who is not tasked with moderating it, but engages in the activity nonetheless - so-called backseat modding."

i.e. stop doing what you're doing

Yes I'll do. I was thinking that I won't post in a while, since I believe I haven't behaved good lately, so I'll try to do only when I should. If you guys don't see me, don't worry. I'm still here.
