Excellent groove. How do you make your VRC7 customs?
ed: I think when it loops back to the start the transistion is too abrupt. Fore-echos of the instruments about to play should be coming in, or something.

I just play a riff and mess with the sliders until it sounds like what I want. Sometimes I discover something that's not at all what I had in mind but sounds cool anyway. For this one I actually only slightly modified [url=http://famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=1032&pid=15636#15636]this instrument.

Alright, I made a bunch of changes and I think it's MUCH improved!
The bass line has a more natural flow, the melody is WAY different and I think a lot better (more dramatic slides, longer holds, more emphasis on the tritone and leading tone implying the minor gypsy scale), I added some accompaniment to the end part which helps it flow back to the start better, and the transitions are better in general.
