Don't worry they're short.

Come My Dear - Inspired by the Halloween season, I wanted to write something that was evil and creepy but also kind of silly and cheesy.

Far Away - Inspired by a rain storm that was the first I experienced in months, it's pretty sappy but it's got some nice suspended chords in there.

Thanks for listening.

edit: updated Come My Dear. I spent sooooooo long going back and forth with the first melody but I think I'm finally satisfied with it.
1. You are the #1 judge of whether your product is satisfying enough to you to bother sharing. If you don't think it's worth your own time, it probably isn't worth ours, so refrain from posting it until your opinion changes favourably. Failure to comply will result in your thread being locked.
Calling your own work mediocre is at best attention seeking, and at worst an indication that we're all wasting our time here. Do you genuinely think your work is that bad? If so, by all means do share it, but in the future, please ask for help/criticism/general pointers instead of fishing for compliments.

If you don't really mean it and are only saying it as a joke, I think it's best to just omit it.

Sorry. My sense of humor doesn't always come across online. :/
Lighten up jrlepage
Yeah, we're finally getting some originals trickling in; let's not discourage them. :P

Robro: I already liked "Far Away", but the final-cut is really nice. Thanks for finishing/sharing that.

"Come My Dear" was awesome. Nice feel, overall. Very Halloween. :D I'm not sure what it's called when you suspend the drums momentarily like that, but it's a really nice touch here.

You're easily one of my favorite newcomers; I'm looking forward to what happens when you get really comfy with this stuff.

Mmmmmm yesssssss... those were the compliments I was fishing for. For one brief moment my wretched life had a glimmer of hope!

Ahem, anyway, thanks everyone. Necrophageon, "In Company of Death" blew my fucking mind earlier today so I'm astonished you like my paltry efforts.

Heh, that's like the one "trick" I know, and subsequently use it all the time. I guess it creates a lot of dynamic contrast which is good. I use to signal the end of a major phrase most of the time.

I'm really digging Far Away, but I feel it loops too soon. With the slower tempo and whimsical feel of the song I feel like you have the opportunity to go more places with it. Big fan of the style, though. Will listen to the other one later.

I can let 'Come my dear' loop for hours and never get bored for some reason. I love that little tune.

Up to date i've liked almost everything you posted, just wish most of it was completed. You've got great ideas, but aren't fully exploited.

Fezuke: I don't even like 'Come My Dear' that much, lol. Thanks.

Anyway, that my stuff should be more developed is a sentiment with which I definitely agree. I guess I just get bored with them too quickly or I run out of creative steam before they get very far. Most of my pieces are really different from each other which I suppose speaks to my musical ADD. Also, I tend to get obsessed with details right away instead of laying in the broad strokes first.

And I don't really have any formal knowledge of how to structure a song (besides the whole intro/verse/chorus/verse/chorus thing) which is why almost all my stuff is just little loops. But I should probably just give it a shot instead of making excuses!

Hey man, Yeah I played around with it a bit, I mostly kept everything you made, but changed some frames around, also added a little halloween-ish ghost sound, or a theremin (Thx Necrophageon for that info) and added harmonies. Makes a world of a difference. The song just needed some sprinkle really. I hope this doesn't destroy your vision.
