Major lapse in creativity lately with the start of school. Haven't been able to get more than an hour or two of free time at a time without expending too much of my many stored calories until today and this is the result.

It's nowhere near finished, as the abrupt ending would show, but I'd say it's a decent mid-effort.

Also, the N163 confuses me. I've not the knowledge to properly explain my dilemma, but attempting to play more than, seemingly, one instrument at a time they seem to cancel each other out...? I'm sure there's a simple explanation for this phenomenon out there in one of your heads.

Anyway, any and all criticism is welcomed.

The N163 has a shared wave memory of 128 positions for all channels, and you have to assign the memory position manually in the instrument. Go to the wave section of the instrument editor and use the Wave position to change this.
This basically means that if you use 32-step waves, you can only play 4 waves at once. For 16-step waves, you can use 8 waves at once, and for 8-step waves, you can theoretically use 16 waves at once, but the N163 has a maximum of 8 channels, it is impossible.

Ahh, thank you so much. I understand now.

Using my newfound knowledge and underdeveloped skills, I've touched this up and finished it (for now).

To me it seems too cluttered.

Again, criticism encouraged.

First thought, too many channels using Square waves, change this up a bit.

The leads are very nice though, good use of effects, the melodies are pretty good, but again it's too much of a square wave, and yes some parts are very cluttered, on frame 0F, around halfway through, slow it down slightly, slow the Percussion, and the background, and bring in frame 10 very quiet and build it up alot, (If you don't understand I'll show you what I mean) drop out most of the percussion and just have a little bit of background and bring those leads out strong, and then slowly add more, until frame 12 or so, just try and make that very legato, and then when frame 14 comes blow us away!
maybe try to simplify your idea from 16-1A, I don't really know why that's just so out of place but it could use a lot of work.

Keep it up man, it sounds pretty good!

Personally, though, I'm a little bothered by the general pressure put on others to use something besides basic waveforms when using N163. I love the square sound, and more specifically, I love pulse-width modulation. Ultimately, though, the vision is yours - lay it out the way you see fit.

I like what you've got going here. The ending could use a bit more polish, but then again you mentioned possibly not being done.

Nice leads, by the way. Carry on, then!

I like squares. That and I've yet to explore Famitracker instrumentation in depth.

Also, excellent advice. Thanks to both of you for helpful feedback; hopefully it's been improved a bit.

Again, bash the crap out of this thing and thanks again to whoever's taking the time to respond.
