I screwed up a whole bunch with this cover and cut out like half the song but this is the first 8-bit cover (not counting, like, the official Game Boy version) I've seen of the song.

This is one of my favorites from the DKC series; I think you did a pretty good job with it so far!

If I had to nitpick (which right now after so little sleep, I certainly shouldn't,) frame 08's saw reverb feels really off to me, but I can't pinpoint a way to possibly improve it other than messing with the g effect.

I see you used G03 everywhere in your module to get your swing, but really, F06-F06-F03-F03 would've made your job SO much easier... :\

Still, pretty good job with this.

Well I should mention this is the first FamiTracker track I've made in a long time, so I kinda forgot how to do a lot of the things I used to know. The G03 was just a little time-consuming, but the timing was easy to figure out after a while.

@Glenn: That may be because I'm an idiot and I only put the reverb in half of the frames where I used pulse 1. Pretty smart, huh? Fixed:

This is pretty solid! Yeah man, doing the G03 commands throughout must have slowed the process down pretty good! The feel is great though.

You should totally finish the song! The drum solo and the breakdown and all that.

I'm listening to this looping and trying to think of ways you can make the bassline have a little more finesse. It just feels a little heavy. Maybe experiment with volume and Sxx commands in VRC6 Pulse 2 to emphasize the "1" and "3" downbeats a bit in places. Since you have all the duty cycles at your command you could also vary that a bit.
Just my 2 cents!

EDIT: I did some stuff. Just some volume balancing mostly, but I think I got a punchier sound out of that bass.
