As I said, I know that, duh. I use it temporaily only for automatic note cut. Values other than 0 have to be 'full blasted', so they can be random. It's not finished, the final version should have note cuts instead (and in a few more places according to score).
Thanks for feedback, anyway, I did it partly by ear with a little help of the score sheet, though I'm not fluent at reading musical score (I've never studied music).
Why do you treat me like a deaf idiot?

As I said, I know that, duh.
A simple "yeah, I know" would've been sufficient; no need to be so defensive. I suggest a change of attitude. Roykeru and gyms were trying to be helpful, and going "duh I know I'm not an idiot" won't get you anywhere.

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to request a hardware render.
@sea You're not a "deaf idiot", others have made this mistake. It is a matter of using Famitracker without previously understanding the limitations of the NES/Famicom hardware.
Anyway it was a nice piece, hope you can complete it.

because you didn't explain this first:
why does the tube instrument has some volume modulation then
cos he was just messing around for now since it is incomplete, knowing that anything greater than zero can be any random thing. he knows that they are useless, but uses the envelopes for note cuts on the zeros. probably uses the modulation shapes also to visualize where the note cut should be. you can see what he's talking about more clearly on his dubstep nsf's.
edit: actually, no they don't. sorry sea, your story doesn't add up here, bur whatevs.

What? I'm sorry if I understood something differently, I'm not a native English speaker, but...
Seriously, who does actually care if there's a volume-instrument used in triange? I'm not making up "stories", I'm telling the facts.
If it's a crime to make instrument with volume macro and use it in triangle (because it causes unnecessary overload or something like that), tell me that and I will carefully avoid this.
But if it's simply has "no effect" at all and nothing more, I'll use it whenever it'll be a more comfortable to do so (with different reasons) and you just should ignore it, because you already know, that I'm AWARE of it. But if you really want to know why it was more comfortable for me in a particular piece, feel free to ask.
There's no need for me to making up any stories. If I don't know something, I simply tell the truth.
