A cover from Tower of Heaven - The product of not wanting to sleep and a disgusting energy beverage. But the loss of sleep and taste of vomit was well worth it.
Hopefully this isn't the final product. :P It could use some work. And I second the above comment; the lead does need some effects. I'd suggest using some more vibrato too. It's alright I guess.
Honestly, I expected people to poke at my crappy attempt at making drums, but I kinda already knew it needed to be tweaked a bit. It was 5 AM by the time I finished it, and I was just glad to actually get through a cover for once.
But yeah, guess I should fix it up when I get the time.
Generally, having long static tones is a bit of a no-no in chiptunes; you really want to add something to make those more pleasant to the ear - some vibrato (a nice [b]4[/b]64 a few rows below your note makes it much better sounding), and perhaps a volume envelope as well. Maybe work on your drums a bit (triangle+noise makes a nice combination, or else you could use some DPCM samples). Other than that I think you're off to a good start.
