Hey there. First post! This is still a work in progress but I think it's done enough to get some feedback. Get ready for some super low BASS.

I'm still a noob at all this (FamiTracker and making music) though I do know some rudimentary music theory and my friend (an actual chiptune musician) has been giving me some tips. The main issue is that I don't really know how to properly structure a song, especially one with multiple parts, so I'm not sure if the two parts of this one flow into each other at all. Definitely need some advice.

Anyway, enjoy!

edit: noob mistake, forgot to hit "Upload"

Interesting Track. I couldn't find anything wrong about it technically nor musically, so that's a good thing. As for what you mentioned, I find that the 2 parts flow together quite well because i'm not even sure what part you're trying to talk about. lol.

First off, thanks for both listening and replying Fezuke. Your stuff blows my mind so I'm relieved that you "couldn't find anything wrong" with my track.

Second, the first part I refer to ends with the drums and arps cutting out and the melody ending on a rather tense augmented 5th of the C#maj scale. Then there's some brief silence followed by the second part where the fast, staccato sawtooth channel comes in.

The rhythm is pretty weird, but maybe that's what you're aiming for? Also, I would personally lower the noise volume slightly

Ya, I've been listening to a lot of footwork inspired music lately, like this:

which emphasize fast, complex rhythms and put the percussion in the forefront of the track.

Very cool, Personally reminds me of portal.

Thanks, I love the soundtracks to those games, especially Portal 2. It's probably the arps.

I bet you'll agree this (admittedly old and crappy) file I've attached sounds even more like Portal 2. It uses the same two-chord progression that's ALL OVER that game.

It sounds exactly like portal! You did very good on both of those songs partyplace sounds more like a cover of portal 2 than anything else.
