Hi guys!

I'm working on a project called "8-bit Run 'n Pun". It's basically an "album in progress" that I want user input on. I'm using famitracker for it, and so far, one song is released, but in "draft" stage, so I'd like your opinions, but be constructive Enjoy

umm, you know, I dont think you'll be recieving any opinions without attaching .ftm files...

but you've been here on forums for quite long, so I assume you have known that... are you some kind of special guy around here?

No, I did not know that. I have read the general forum guidelines as well as the specifics of this sub-forum and it doesn't state that you have to upload ftm-files. But if I've missed something in the rules, please point me to it.

If it's an unwritten rule I'm not aware of it as I'm not on here much, and I figured it is fine as all my threads where I post my work has been external links to mp3-files or rar-zip files if it is applicable.

I think what he is saying is we can only really give good advice on your work by going through and studying the ftm, just listening we can sometimes miss quiet a bit

I can pretty much confirm that. This isn't just a comment & critique forum, we pretty much specialise in Famitracker help. I'll gladly listen to 8-bit music from somebody's Soundcloud that they linked to, but more often than not my only comments would be "yeah that's pretty good" or "nah not my thing", so I just refrain from commenting at all, whereas if I can see the inner workings of the track in Famitracker I can bring up interesting and useful criticism that I would otherwise have missed.

So yeah it's not "unwritten" so much as "implicit" I suppose. It's not against the rules per se, but it's just how things have come to work within the community.

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to [url=http://www.famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3633]request a hardware render.

OK then. I will keep that in mind. Sorry about the confusion.

If I want feedback, would it be better to make new threads for each separate ftm-file or should I juzt attach all of them here?

I think it would be better to attach them all here, as they're all part of the same project.
