The DemoCompo entries might be a good place to start. Xyz_39808 made a ZIP with all the entries from DC1 to DC4 converted into NSF; you can grab that [url=http://www.famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3565&pid=36416#36416]right here.

That's an excellent initiative, by the way, and I fully approve of it. I hope it catches on better than the 2A03 archive did...

I record (some) NSFs on hardware. Feel free to [url=http://www.famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3633]request a hardware render.

How peculiar; there's somebody else who goes by the name of 'gamma' that has NSF files in here.

The idea of a central location for any original work that's been published as an .nsf is definitely worth pursuing, imo!

Having some sort of profile attributed to each artist would go a long way towards ensuring that mixups such as songs being attributed to the wrong artist don't happen.

Gamma, hey!... is not you?, dam... do you have any idea of who could be?.

About a description/attribute, i know, but shamely i have no knowledge in code. I was trying with drupal but failed bad, what i have so far is just the graphic part (because im a graphic designer/pixelartist). And well there is not much people helping me on this, im actually "alone". Many people has showed interest to participe and help but nobody has actually done it! ((

Till that happend there will be no website or public place! ... i posted that link here to see if someone appear and help me with the website, to start doing the artist organization, description and tagging. I also want to include many things like... sources/dmc and mp3 render and stuff, but that takes time and space.

So any help is welcome im also open to any suggest. thx ;P

As far as hosting a website, I'm not sure how much direct help I could be, (with no experience in setting up a dynamic website like this) but I wanted to mention that I host on [url=https://www.nearlyfreespeech.net/]NearlyFreeSpeech and it is pretty inexpensive. For me, though, it's because they charge only for the bandwidth/storage you use, and I don't use a lot of either. It's also shared hosting, so you're kind of limited in what you can use, but Drupal will work there. I wouldn't mind helping to set up/maintain, but as far as creating the framework itself, it'd be a learning experience for me. (If this doesn't worry you, then I'm in!)

(Also, the chipmusic.org link in the OP links back to this topic for me. Like the url tag points here.)

I put most of my FTM's on [url=http://icesoldier.me/music.html]my website, but I haven't updated it in a while, and there aren't too many things worth including.

icesoldier, nice :DDD.. (downloaded and added). About host, well i dont think that should be a problem. The problem for now is find people who can help me with the code of the site to manage the files, save the info, etc.

cak, yah i know! XD i didnt put that link here, because that's the old one, the new one has about 4900+ nsfs!, i think that one has just 2500 or something like that.
