Here are covers of the complete OSTs of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 on Game Boy Color, composed by Yoshio Watanabe - he also did Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder for GBA, which I am currently attempting to cover, I have a few songs done which I added to the .ftm but the rest will probably take a while. I hope you enjoy them. :P

I like how your songs sounded before with the DPCM, it adds a sort of "pop" to the rhythm of the song if you will.
It was overpowering before as you said, but I edited the first song with a quieter noise channel and DPCM samples, so you can still hear the lead and triangle clearly but with a strong rhythm.
I figured I would see if you thought it was an improvement before I went and added the drums to every song.
Also the pattern in frame 0C in the first song doesn't make sound.
Something I just learned (after having composed nsfs for 6 years...geez) is that if your DPCM sample doesn't end at delta position 0, it will automatically make the tri/noise channels quieter. In a worst case scenario, the difference can be as much as 50%.
To fix this, go into the DPCM section, click "edit", select the waveform, and click "tilt". Do the tilt operation multiple times until the final delta position is at or near zero. Sometimes the sample will sound a little crappy afterward (especially toms). If that happens, you can start over and only select the last half of the waveform. I did this to all my samples and kept the non-tilted originals just in case.
Well I personally am not too concerned with the specifics behind all the little tricks and things you can do, I'm more concerned with the music itself.

So any comments on that at all, lol?
Just sayin, preserving the tri volume in the first place might be easier than making everything else quieter.
Anyway, I enjoyed your previous stuff...I'll give a listen to the newest songs.
True story. It's a quick and easy fix (just takes a few seconds of clicky-clicky). If you screw up the sound you can always hit Cancel.
If you like using DPCM and triangle bass at the same time, it's a good tool to have at your disposal.
These are really nice, by the way. Not particularly my style, but they all sound excellent and you've got some cool techniques and neat ideas in here. I also like how coherent all these tracks are. Are they all in the same key?

All these songs need now, is a cool beat em up game to really put them to life! I think they would become memorable.
A Battletoads style game instantly comes to mind.
Thanks! Someone already contacted me about using one of these songs as a menu for a game (#14), so I can't wait to see it in action, heh.

Seems kind of tedious to go and add the DPCM back in to every song, but eh, if someone wants to do that for me, feel free. xD

Thanks! And yeah, a lot of them are in E minor, because I composed them on actual guitars, where E is the lowest note (though I think a couple I did in drop D, because they have a couple of D notes in there somewhere. :P)
EDIT: I think Song #07 sounds kind off with the Fxx effects, can anyone fix that for me?
